Policymakers are often forced to make critical decisions about the safety of their constituents using limited or stale criminal justice data. But access to clean, updated data is essential to charting a path to safer, more equitable communities.
A Justice Counts National Launch event will be held on January 26, 2022, from 2:00–3:30 p.m. ET. The event will explore the significant shortcomings of data in the criminal justice system and introduce a bold solution: Justice Counts.
Justice Counts is a consensus-building initiative of the Bureau of Justice Assistance led by The Council of State Governments Justice Center and an unprecedented coalition of 21 partner organizations committed to creating a stronger information infrastructure for the justice system.
