With this solicitation, BJA is seeking applications to support the Department of Justice's Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative.

National Information Exchange Model (NIEM)

A partnership of the U.S. Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Health and Human Services, NIEM is designed to develop, disseminate, and support enterprise-wide information exchange standards and processes that can enable jurisdictions to effectively share critical information in emergency situations, as well as support the day-to-day operations of agencies throughout the nation.

SEARCH: Information Sharing Resources

Through its Information Sharing Programs, SEARCH helps justice and public safety practitioners and organizations at all levels of government improve their use of technology, information sharing capabilities, and voice and data interoperability in mission-critical projects and initiatives.

IJIS Institute: Information Sharing

IJIS Institute core services exist to assist state, local, and tribal justice and public safety organizations achieve cross-agency, cross-jurisdictional, and cross-sector information sharing and safeguarding.

Regional Information Sharing Systems (RISS)

Composed of regional centers and the RISS Technology Support Center, RISS offers secure information sharing and communications capabilities, critical analytical and investigative support services, and event deconfliction to enhance officer safety.

Justice Information Sharing Practitioners (JISP) Network

Developed with support from BJA, the JISP Network connects local, state, regional, and tribal justice sharing practitioners interested in best practices, standards, and resources for solving the issues of information sharing within criminal and juvenile justice at local, state, and national levels.
