Chief Brandon Clabes began his career with the Midwest City, Oklahoma police department as a police officer in 1979 and worked his way through the ranks becoming police chief in August of 1999. Midwest City is home to Tinker Air Force Base and Clabes is responsible for 127 employees, an annual budget of over 13 million dollars and utilizes best practices to deliver a community based policing philosophy. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and is a longtime board member for the Oklahoma Association of Chiefs of Police. Clabes also has served as a commissioner for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs and is currently a Board of Regent for Rose State College. All these appointments have been made by Governor Mary Fallin. He has been married to his wife Sandy for 26 years and they have three children.
