The How and Why of BWC Policy Change Over Time

Administrative policy is the foundation of a successful body-worn camera (BWC) program, but policy needs to be dynamic. As new issues emerge and technology evolves, law enforcement agencies need to consistently re-evaluate their policy. In this webinar, BWC Training & Technical Assistance co-director Dr. Mike White investigates policy change across more than two dozen issues among 160 law enforcement agencies.

Dr. White's analysis focuses on the prevalence of policy change, which issues change, and which remain stable. Speakers from three different agencies (Des Moines, IA PD; Houston, TX PD; San Antonio, TX PD) will also provide their thoughts as to how their agency's policy has changed, and most importantly, why it has changed over time.
