Methamphetamine Use Disorders: Considerations from Across the Sequential Intercept Model (SIM)

As many criminal justice professionals learn about the science of addiction and changes in the brain that occur due to substance misuse, there is growing interest in addressing issues related to methamphetamines using a public health approach.

This webinar will explore emerging or promising practices across the SIM to address the needs of individuals with methamphetamine use disorders who interface with the justice system.

In this webinar, the presenters will:

  • Describe unique challenges to addressing the needs of individuals with methamphetamine use disorder.
  • Discuss ways behavioral health and criminal justice partners can work together to support the recovery of individuals with methamphetamine use disorders.
  • Examine how support for individuals for methamphetamine use disorders can be tailored at various intercepts of the SIM.
