Many individuals in custody live with substance use disorders, which can complicate re-entry upon release from incarceration. Social workers, clinicians, and case managers are trained to help individuals make the transition to recovery and to the community but may not initially consider a career in corrections. Recruiting for these positions has become especially challenging in today’s economy, which is marked by “help wanted” signs seemingly everywhere.
In this webinar, Ret. Col. Brenda Dietzman will share short- and long-term strategies for building a diverse and capable workforce, offer ideas for attracting younger generations, and provide a blueprint for participants seeking to develop a recruitment and retention plan.
