Swift & Sure Sanctions Probation Program

Van Buren County (VBC) Courts is seeking BJA funds to expand and enhance the Swift & Sure Sanctions Probation Program (SSSPP). This proposal seeks to expand the program’s capacity from 30 to 50 participants through the hiring of a second SSSPP case manager. In addition, this proposal seeks to enhance the SSSPP by:

Expanding the program’s capacity to perform drug testing in this rural community through the hiring of a mobile drug tester.
Improving SSSPP participants’ access to evidence-based treatment services that have been found empirically to meet the needs of the target population. 
Expanding SSSPP participants’ access to recovery housing (if needed).
Enhancing the operation of the SSSPP through a process and outcome evaluation.
