MAXIMUM PARTICIPANTS: 35 clients, 18 Month proposed duration
PROPOSED PARTICIPANTS TO RECEIVE SERVICES: 85
MINIMUM, MAXIMUM, AVERAGE LENGTH: 10 participants, 30 participants, 18 months
TARGET POPULATION: Veterans with non-violent offences, with drug related charge, screened using the Risk and Need Triage (RANT) clinical diagnostic DART-20. Proposed program works closely with treatment providers, including the use of MAT.
ACCESS TO MAT: A range of evidence-based treatment strategies are employed, and included access to, and support for Medically Assisted Treatment. Clients unable to pay for MAT can receive financial assistance through state funds.
TREATMENT FOR OPIOID, STIMULANT, OTHER SUBSTANCES: While the court is structured to address veterans presenting with any diagnostic category of substance misuse, data from the implementation phase suggests a significant number with opioid and stimulant related use patterns.
JURISDICTION LEVERAGE: The jurisdiction (Lancaster County, South Carolina, population 89,594) has no other local relevant funds from which to leverage.
