ACT NOW Portsmouth Coalition to Address Community Violence

ACT NOW Portsmouth is an evidenced based prevention and intervention program. The program is consistant with effective strategies in much larger localities, this initiative is community-based, collaborative and comprehensive. Further, it approaches community violence using a community health model of stopping the spread of violence at the source by addressing underlying root causes. This program supports a collabrative partnership with the Portsmouth Police Department and provide a municipal outreach platform to further awarenes campaign and other messages.
