Napa County Public Safety Radio and Communication Upgrade Project

This project will allow all jurisdictions in Napa County to have the required hardware, subscriber units, and related software required for the encryption upgrade to protect personally identifiable information under all dispatch communications.  In alignment with CPF application details, this project will allocate half of the federal funds to technical capacities of the County of Napa, ($900,000) and the other half to support the connection of resources from the City of Napa and surrounding partner municipalities ($900,000), primarily the cities of St. Helena and Calistoga. The maximum funding level will accelerate the jurisdictions’ ability to meet the requirement, strengthening the communications for protecting community information while still following the phased approach to ensure the final infrastructure decisions meet countywide system demands
