Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2022, $310,000)

This portion of the body worn camera project would be to outfit each of the holsters for all sworn officers with the signal sidearm feature to wirelessly connect to their body worn cameras to ensure critical footage is captured when a firearm is drawn without having to press a button. All sworn officers employed by the City of Thornton Police Department must have a body worn camera per the requirements of Senate Bill 20-217.
