El Paso Police Department Body-Worn Camera Program

The El Paso Police Department ( EPPD) seeks funding for the Body-Worn Camera Program. The cameras purchased/leased will provide body-worn cameras to patrol and traffic officers. Body-worn cameras will improve the quality of service the EPPD can provide to the community through increased transparency and accountability. It will ensure that all officers in the field can record digital video evidence and capture citizen and officer interactions. The use of body-worn cameras will aid EPPD in maintaining its standing as one of the nation's top safest cities.
