Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2022, $1,429,000)

The proposed project will support the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office in Carroll County, Maryland with the purchase and installation of body worn cameras for all Law Enforcement deputies and in-car cameras for all patrol and community related positions.  The project also includes all related equipment and video storage needed to implement the program.  The expected outcome is to support the vision of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office to be the safest County in Maryland and to provide the service the community deserves and expects.  Beneficiaries of the initiative include the 172,891 citizens who live in Carroll County, Maryland along with the 132 Law Enforcement Deputies that serve those citizens.  The project will be implemented by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and will not utilize subrecipients.
