Statewide Law Enforcement Community Policing Initiative

The New Hampshire Department of Justice, as the State Administrating Agency, applied for Congressionally Directed Spending for New Hampshire law enforcement to assist with funding one time capital expenditures, training, and community oriented projects. Funding will be available to police departments to seek funding for items such as portable radios, body and cruiser cameras, bullet proof vests, training, and community oriented projects. Local police department budgets, generally, are not robust enough to support expenditures such as these. The New Hampshire Department of Justice is often approached for funding by police departments in the state, and these are the items that are cited as the most needed for police departments.
