Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2022, $196,027)

The Wyoming RSAT in-prison residential treatment programs are fully supported through the state budgeting process.  However, additional support and funding for utilization of forensic peer specialist positions and ongoing monitoring and tracking of continuing care is needed.  WDOC RSAT programs provide substance use disorder residential treatment in two (2) separate locations and require more intensive monitoring to ensure requisite levels of program coordination, collaboration, service delivery, and continuing care referrals are maintained.  Collecting and reporting on RSAT performance measures is also more demanding and time intensive.  RSAT fiscal year 2022 grant funds will be used to fund four (4) Forensic Peer Specialist position: one in Lusk and one in Rawlins and two at the Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp (WHCC).
