II.        Project Title:               2022 Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT)

Project Goal:   

The primary goal of the 2022 RSAT Program is to provide federal grant funding assistance to the RSAT Program and its affiliates at the Tafuna Correctional Facility of the American Samoa Government which are providing treatment and counseling services in support of the RSAT Program in its system improvement projects.

Strategies:       

The Strategy is based on the provision of federal funding assistance to the criminal justice system service providers, not to supplant existing local funding resources, but to support additional and innovative efforts to provide assistance in the treatment and rehabilitation aspect of the program.

The Strategy is based on the provision of federal funding assistance to the criminal justice system providers, to help provide teaching and training of vocational trades and skills to help the inmate’s transition back into the community as clean and productive citizens.
