PROJECT ABSTRACT

PROJECT NAME:

Expanding Drug Court Capacity and Support Services

PROJECT SUMMARY:

Project to expand capacity (by an additional ten per year) and support services in our drug court to include additional Peer Support (with a focus on establishing/maintaining housing and employment) as well as adding a physical fitness component as an option for sober support meetings (i.e. CrossFit collaboration).  A major focus on education, employment, and housing will be addressed in addition to criminogenic thinking, individual and group counseling, and sober support systems.

POPULATION TO BE SERVED:

Drug Court participants diagnosed as dual-diagnosis

PROJECT GOALS:

Achieve long-term sustainable employment;
Achieve long-term sustainable housing;
Drug testing to ensure compliance with sobriety orders of the court;
Immediate access to treatment for dual-diagnosis issues;
Medication assisted treatment assessments and immediate availability;
Strong focus on dual-diagnosis issues
Increased focus on pro-social hobbies as a complement to sober support meetings
