Community District Ranger Department Police Cruiser

The Snowshoe Resort Community District (SRCD) requested funds to purchase one Ford Police Interceptor Utility AWD vehicle to provide transportation for the SRCD rangers. This will allow for emergency response within the district in a timely manner for the residents and the visitors both living and visiting the Snowshoe Resort located in Pocahontas County, WV. The county encompasses over 900 square miles of public and federal lands, with a local police department numbering 12 officers to cover the vast region. The development of the Snowshoe Resort Community District Ranger Department in Snowshoe, WV will alleviate much of the burden in the existing force, freeing up resources to respond to other county related tasks, while providing for the public safety to the SRCD homeowners and visitors enjoying the Snowshoe Resort area.
