Body-Worn Cameras

The King County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) plans on utilizing funding to purchase body-worn camera systems and support training for program implementation.  KCSO’s body worn program supports video and audio data to be seamlessly integrated into KCSO’s legacy software which supports the management of audio, video, and photo evidence.  Body worn cameras enhances patrol safety and the quality of both criminal and internal investigations and is partnered with software that supports chain of custody requirements.   The KCSO body worn camera program has developed policy and procedures that has been influenced by key stakeholders in local government and the communities the department serves.
