Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2023, $426,000)

The Pine Mountain Repeater and 4-site Simulcast System project is needed to provide effective emergency communications coverage. 

When completed the project will encompass the following: 

Replacement of the current repeater system on Pine Mountain. 

Installation of a simulcast repeater in Randolph. 

Installation of a simulcast repeater in Shelburne. 

Installation of a simulcast repeater in Green’s Grant. 

Necessary upgrades and programming to current Dispatch equipment and radios. 

When these systems are placed into service, they will provide nearly 100% radio coverage for local Police, Fire, and EMS personnel. This project is necessary for the safety of First Responder and the public.
