The Colorado Access to Justice Commission proposes to implement a program based on the findings from its "2021 Listen & Learn Report," aimed at increasing access to legal resources that assist unrepresented litigants in rural legal deserts in Colorado. The Commission will first work with key stakeholders serving Colorado's rural legal deserts, including the following counties: Morgan, Logan, Grand, Jackson, Park, Fremont, Conejos, Alamosa, Huerfano, Las Animas, Otero, Bent, and Powers. The Commission and stakeholders will identify the project's top three priority outcomes and craft a strategic implementation plan based on the findings and recommendations contained in the Commission's Listen & Learn Report. The strategic plan will detail the methods, timeline, and milestones for achieving the three priority outcomes. Implementation of the plan will include continuous stakeholder engagement and awareness.
