FY 2023 Sex Offender and Registration Notification Act (SORNA) Reallocation Program

The Idaho State Police (ISP) Bureau of Identification (BCI) proposes to implement the Improving and Maintaining Electronic Registration to the Idaho Central Repository program.  The purposes are to aid the central State Repository in processing unit backlog to increase compliance with FBI required timelines and purchase new technology signature pads for registrants to electronically sign registration documents.  Project activities include hiring one to two (2) part-time temporary Technical Records Specialist 1 (TRS1) positions as well as purchase and distribute new signature pads to county registration locations throughout Idaho.  Expected outcomes include increased processing time of new registration updates; increased processing time of registration and address verifications; and registration documents electronically signed and submitted to the state registry at the time of registration.
