FY 23 HI_Project Safe Neighborhoods Grant Program

The Department of Law Enforcement proposes to implement the Gun Buy Back Program (GBBP). The purpose of this program is to provide gun owners with the option to turn in their firearms and aimed at reducing the number of firearms in circulation and promoting public safety. The GBBP will be implemented in the following counties within the State of Hawaii; City and County of Honolulu, Kauai, Maui and Hawaii Island Counties. The GBBP will be coordinated through local enforcement partners within each counties mentioned.
