The Western District of North Carolina is implementing a robust Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative. The tenets of PSN are spread throughout the districts prosecution strategy, in essence creating an anti-gang, violent crime enforcement and prosecution strategy that encompasses the entire district. Our OCDETF and Violent Crime AUSAs are assigned district attorneys offices to triage gun, violent crime, and opioid cases to ensure the proper prosecutorial venue.
