Project Safe Neighborhood 2023

This project aims to reduce gun violence in the City of Buffalo. The Buffalo PSN team will select an intervention from a menu of proven evidence-based practices. Based on analysis received from the Eric Crime Analysis Center, high risk individuals involved in gun violence will be targeted. The intervention will include appropriate targeting of gang-related activity.  Implementation of this project is expected to strengthen BPD capacity to reduce gun violence, reduce violent gang activity, and improve the administration of justice in high violence neighborhoods.
