The City of Buckeye Police Department (“BPD”) body armor for the SWAT Team

The City of Buckeye Police Department (“BPD”) is in need of new body armor for the SWAT Team (SWAT). BPD currently does not have enough ballistic plates, body armor, and helmets to equip every member on their team. A large number of body armor and plates are outside their useful life expiration dates. Also, additional new SWAT officers have recently joined the team, so complete ballistic vests and helmets are needed. Buckeye requests that the grant allocation of $12,413 be applied to the purchase of 5 sets of body armor and helmets.
