Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community’s (SRPMIC) Police Department is in the process of applying to the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Program’s Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) for grant funding under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program: FY 2023 Local Solicitation.  SRPMIC has been allocated $35,221 under a federal funding formula for state and local jurisdictions. SRPD intends to use this allocation to enhance its Law Enforcement Programs in addressing crimes involving guns, drugs, and violence though equipping their staff with essential digital recording cameras and pursuit intervention police vehicle bumpers to improve the delivery of public safety service to all members, residents, and visitors.
