Lemon Grove Foot and Bicycle Patrol Program & Law Enforcement Equipment

The City of Lemon Grove is submitting an application to request funding from the Department of Justice (DOJ) for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 to purchase law enforcement equipment, to fund bicycle maintenance and bicycle patrol training for Sheriff Deputies, and to enhance the Lemon Grove Bicycle Patrol Program (BPP) through a slight modification that may include deputies on foot patrols to augment proactive, directed bicycle patrols operations by the San Diego Sheriff’s Department, Lemon Grove Sub-station.
