Torrance Police Cadet Program

The City of Torrance, Police Department is requesting assistance in the amount of $22,603 from the 2023 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) to fund the Torrance Police Cadet Program.  The Torrance Police Cadet Program consists of eight, part-time positions for college students interested in a law enforcement career.  Operational funds are otherwise not available to fund Cadet personnel who enhance Torrance Police efficiency by increasing staffing capacity for field operations, special events and administrative tasks.
