2023 JAG formula grant

The disparate jurisdictions of Mesa County and the City of Grand Junction will use JAG funds for body armor and a solar surveillance trailer and equipment. Mesa County will use JAG funds to purchase body armor, as has been done for the last several years, to supplement needed replacements for body armor that is at the end of its useful life and/or to provide body armor for new hires. The City of Grand Junction will use JAG funds to purchase a solar surveillance trailer and necessary equipment to support the Advanced Real Time Information Center (ARTIC) with a mobile unit that can be deployed in high crime areas, critical incidents, civil unrest, law enforcement operations, community events, and more to further intelligence led policing efforts. The ARTIC facility is utilized by all law enforcement in Mesa County (local, state, and federal).
