Crime Emphasis and Community Investment

The City of New Britain Police Department will use JAG funds for overtime for crime reduction and community engagement initiatives.  The department will utilize JAG funds to improve technology for community outreach on social media platforms and social media pages.  The New Britain PAL Program will utilize JAG funding for online streaming technology improvements for education and for new technolopgy upgrades to the afterschool program computer lab.  JAG funds will also support the New Britain Police Explorers Program by covering the cost of entrance fees for the one week NERLEEA Cadet Explorer Academy and Explorer Practical Skills Days.
