CCSO - Law Enforcement Vehicle Push Bar & PGPD - PGPD Rifle Training Project

Charlotte County is requesting FY23 DOJ JAG funds. Funding will be used by the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office to purchase vehicle push bars to be utilized in clearing roadway onstructions caused by crashes and for immobilizing fleeing vehicles. The Punta Gorda Police Department will employ their share of the JAG funds to purchase rifles, red dot sights, and simunitions conversion kits for scenario-based training utilizing the same type of rifles carried in real occurrences. Both projects will further the goal of making Charlotte County safer for residents and visitors.
