The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office has been authorized by the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners to use JAG funds for the purchase of equipment needed by the Sheriff’s Office that has not been included in the budget approved by the County Commission.
The Sheriff’s Office will use funds to purchase dual tube white phosphor goggles for its aviation unit and additional single tube white phosphor goggles for SWAT and K9 special teams.
