2023 CITY OF DOUGLASVILLE PARK SECURITY / APARTMENT LIASON OFFICER PORTABLE RADIO COMMUNICATIONS

The City of Douglasville would like to use the 2023 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant funds to purchase (4) Motorola APX portable radios for Park Security / Apartment Liaison Officers. 

The City of Douglasville currently operates a total of 7 parks and the apartment complex community is rapidly growing.  The liaison officers add another level of visibility for the Douglasville Police Department to provide security and assistance as needed for city parks and apartment complexes.  They will coordinate efforts with the Patrol Division and with the Community Outreach Division.  The portable radios will allow for this unit to communicate effectively with both divisions.
