Body Armor Protection Initiative

The Henry County Police Department will use FY23 JAG funds for the following purposes: 1) to provide officers National Institute of Justice (NIJ) approved enhanced, level ballistic resistant body armor that will save lives in the event of an active shooter incident; and 2) to provide trauma kits that allow officers to deliver life-saving medical care to victims of gunshot wounds or other traumatic injuries.  This use of JAG funds will fill current gaps in department resources to ensure preparedness in responding to active shooter threats.
