The purchase of camera equipment with advanced technology designed to record crime scenes, data related to accidents, and vehicle license plates, and will enhance investigations. The opportunity to replace aged enforcement equipment will support law enforcement efforts to reduce violence. Polk County, IA will use JAG funds to purchase law enforcement equipment to support the reduction of crime and violence in small towns and rural areas throughout the county. The purchase of speed enforcement equipment will support efforts to encourage voluntary compliance while supporting the safety of residents.
