City of Indianapolis JAG Local 2023

Under the FY 2023 JAG, the City of Indianapolis (City) proposes to assist with salaries to offset the increased workload due to increase in crime; train staff to retain proficiency, knowledge in their specific disciplines, and learn about best practices/procedures in their field; supplies to assist departments with the carrying out programs; to subaward and contract to assist with services.  These items, explained in detail below, will allow the City of Indianapolis/Marion County to address the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) areas of emphasis in reducing crime and violence, increasing community-based violence intervention strategies, and advancing justice system reform efforts.
