Portable Radio Upgrades for School Resource Officers - WiFi Enhancements

The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office recognizes the urgency of upgrading communication infrastructure to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and staff within school environments. The existing radio equipment utilized by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office school resource officers (SROs) is outdated and incompatible with the modern communication needs within school environments. This St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office will use JAG funds to purchase and implement a new set of advanced radios with Wi-Fi capability, enabling seamless communication between SROs and the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Communications Center while ensuring the safety and security of students.
