Fitchburg JAG Program

Through support provided by JAG, this department respectfully requests funds to support police department staff’s ability to attend professional development training. Due the increase in the number of recent hires, both sworn and civilian, the city will allocate funding to further professional development training opportunities for staff. Training will include but not be limited to drug enforcement, detective training, training for women in law enforcement, mental health and substance abuse, domestic violence, dispatch related training, and other opportunities as they arise. Funding will also be used to support hot spot and community policing related enforcement in areas of high crime and criminal activity.
