City of Boston Police Department BJA FY 23 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program

The City of Boston will use JAG funds to provide for continuation of several crucial initiatives, including retaining critical civilian positions, community policing as it relates to technology initiatives, violence/domestic violence reduction, and intervention programs. The main goals of this funding are to reduce crime across City of Boston; employ data-driven, collaborative, community-oriented approaches to crime prevention, intervention and enforcement; and move the department forward in the areas of information sharing and technology.
