The primary objective of this project is to improve and enhance law enforcement programs in Kennebec County, Maine.

The primary objective of the project is to improve and enhance law enforcement programs in Kennebec County, Maine.  A secondary objective of this project is to replace aging or ineffective equipment.  This project will assist in avoiding reductions in the delivery of essential law enforcement services.  Law Enforcement in Kennebec County seeks to reduce crime, improve the quality of life, create and maintain a safe environment in our communities for our citizens and law enforcement officers.

This project will meet or contribute to the following stated goals of this grant:  minimize and avoid reductions in essential services, avoid tax increases, maintain and hire personnel (by making purchases through local, regional and national businesses).  This project will assist the law enforcement agencies in our efforts to maintain public safety.

Strategies include purchasing equipment, technology and supplies necessary to enhance law enforcement and the delivery of our basic and advanced law enforcement abilities and capabilities.  All facets of crime will be impacted through the effective delivery of law enforcement services. The Agencies will make purchases outlined in this application and will implement the operation described in this application.  The agencies will coordinate with each other to ensure that all reporting requirements are met.
