Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2023, $14,553)
In an effort to improve the function of the criminal justice system, with emphasis on violent crime and serious offenders, the Eaton County Sheriff's office is seeking to provide additional personnel via overtime, training, technical assistance, and more widespread apprehension, prosecution, adjudication, detention, and rehabilitation of persons who violate laws and to assist the victims of such crimes (other than compensation).
The Eaton County Sheriff's Office also seeks to educate the owners, managers, and employees of hotel establishments, on how to accurately observe and report criminal activity. The citizens involved in operating these businesses can play a crucial role in carrying our criminal justice activities, as it pertains to crime prevention, control, or reduction, or the enforcement of the criminal law.
