JAG Program

Bay County/Bay City entered into an agreement regarding their JAG award. The agreement is to divide the funds. The JAG purchases anticipated for each program is to provide to a specific deputy/officer with equipment. The Bay County Sheriff’s Office and the Bay City Public Safety Department coordinate efforts utilizing all equipment for emergency situations. The Bay County Sheriff’s Office shall be called as backup in times of need to the Bay City Public Safety Department and vice versa. Both departments are housed in the same building allowing for coordination of command officers in many situations. Bay County will utilize funding to purchase 20 holographic rifle optics. The City of Bay City will utilize funds to purchase 15 service handguns.
