License plate reader cameras and equipment for law enforcement officers

The disparate jurisdictions of the City of Jackson Police Department (JPD) and the Jackson County Office of the Sheriff (JCOS) will use JAG funds for technology and equipment. JPD will use JAG funds for license plate reading technology to assist with investigations and the purchase of higher capacity ammunition magazines to increase the firearm capacity, and therefore the safety, of our sworn officers. JCOS will use grant funds for license plate reading technology to assist with investigations, along with handgun lights, an entry ram, BWC mounts, rifles, and rifle optics to assist their patrol division in serving the residents of Jackson County.
