St Joseph MO FY Edward Byrne Memorial Grant

The St. Joseph Police Department plans to use the available funding to improve one specific area of equipment. This project will greatly assist the department in response to all types of criminal activity but will be specifically focused on efforts to reduce violent crime, apprehend offenders, and achieving successful prosecution. The success of this project will assist in the reduction of violent crime and promote public trust between the community and law enforcement agencies within the city of St. Joseph and Buchanan County. The city and county will use the JAG funds to purchase 12 stationary license plate reader systems with software.
