JAG 23 Taser Replacement and Camera Safety

The disparate jurisdictions of The City of Greenville Police Department and the Pitt County Sheriff's Department will use JAG funds to purchase less than lethal weapons (Tasers) and for Community Safety ( mobile cameras ). Greenville PD will use JAG funds toward the purchase of new and upgraded Tasers for every police officer. The Pitt County Sherriff's Department will expand its mobile camera program by installing additional pole cameras in high risk/high call volume areas in the County. The addition of these cameras will bring the total to 13 that are placed in high crime / high activity areas.
