Enhancing Safety of Law Enforcement and Community in Forsyth County, NC and Winston-Salem

The 2023 JAG allocation to Forsyth County is $280,631, which will be shared equally by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office and the Winston-Salem Police Department. 

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office will use its portion ($140,315.50) of 2023 Justice Assistance Grant funding for continuing the operations and capabilities of the Real-Time Intelligence Center (RTIC). 

The City proposes to use its share of grant funds ($140,315.50) for technology enhancements associated with the installation of audio/visual integration technology in the Police Department’s auditorium, located in the Vivian H. Burke Public Safety Center.  This technology will ensure multi-agency coordination, information sharing, real-time intelligence gathering, and personnel training.
