Asbury Park, Neptune and Long Branch have agreed to enter into an inter-local service agreement pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:8A-1.
Asbury Park will utilize JAG funds for the purchase of Automated License Plate Readers. ALPR's capture license plate numbers that come into view of a camera, along with location, date, and time. This technology will aide in criminal, motor vehicle and traffic investigations.
Neptune will use JAG funds for the purchase Speed Alert Trailers with Electronic Messaging Boards. The speed radar portion of the trailers will address, monitor, track and curb speed complaints and concerns.
Long Branch will utilize JAG funds for the purchase of Mobile Data Terminals. MDT's will allow officers to access their computer aided dispatch system, communicate and access the New Jersey State Police CJIS system for motor vehicle records, wanted persons and criminal histories.
