Schenectady County and City 2023 JAG Application

The disparate jurisdictions of the County of Schenectady and the City of Schenectady will use JAG funds for equipment and personnel.  Schenectady County will fund a portion of a District Attorney Confidential Investigator primarily assigned as a gang investigator who assists the Gang Investigative and Prosecution Unit/FBI Schenectady Safe Streets Task Force whose main objective is to investigate and prosecute recently identified violent street groups within Schenectady; the City of Schenectady Police Department will use funds to purchase a mobile license plate reader, covert camera(s), and night vision capabilities for officers to enhance services for the safety of the community.
