The City of Syracuse will use JAG funds to hire two credible messengers for a two-year period, as part of the city's community-based violence intervention initiative. The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office will use JAG funds for the acquisition and training of a new explosives detection canine, new SWAT team and bomb squad uniforms, and new laptops for the criminal investigative teams.
